I really love photography, it’s not so much passion as obsession for me. I started photography a long time ago, using film cameras but the interest and passion burnt much more brightly with the introduction of digital.
Nowadays I love to shoot a bit of both, a simple film camera with few settings is a great way to spend a day out and about with for personal projects.
What do I shoot?
Who doesn’t love a wedding eh? I really love to shoot weddings as they encompass such great elements within a day.
My style is very much “less formal, more informal”. Being more informal and less formal means a more photo journalistic wedding photography style. I like to stay out of the way capturing the spirit and excitement of a wedding day. I’d far rather take a photograph of you, your family and your friends having a great laugh, sharing a joke or a big old hug than I would standing formally in line for a group photograph.
This is something new for me. I’ve always been a bit of a petrolhead and love just about everything on 2 and 4 wheels. I’m there to photograph your car (and you) in the same relaxed, informal manner as I shoot weddings. Looking for the moment, concentrating on the detail and trying to find that look.
We all like to travel right? So nothing better than when I’m away somewhere new or well known to me to look for those photographic elements that make a city/town/village. It’s still about people for me, but with a few scenic photographs thrown in too.
If you have a photographic project you’d like to work on with me, then why not get in touch and let’s chat more. I’d love to hear from you.
